I have to tell you this story!  Yesterday, Kiersen and I met with the Super Pandas. (5th and 6th grade girls).  We are reading through a missionary biography together.  The story yesterday was about how the missionary, Amy, needed a building for her ministry to 400 very poor women and so she decided to pray and ask God for the building.  Amy was also a very strong believer that she should NOT ask people for the money, but simply pray to God and trust Him to provide it.  And sometime later, a woman came up to Amy (without being asked) and offered the money for the building.  God had provided without Amy asking any people!

So after we talked about that yesterday, I asked the girls if they could think of anything we should pray about for the whole orphanage, and I told them that "more candy" didn't count! :)

One girl, Fanny, immediately said, "Food."  When I asked for more specifics, she said "Frutas!"  (Fruit). I know that the kids are not starving, but that more variety and more fruit is still a need.  So YESTERDAY AFTERNOON we prayed for more fruit.  (This is Fanny.)

We also learned the verse Luke 18:27. "What is impossible with man, is possible with God."

I did not tell anyone except Gabe about their prayer request.

This morning, I opened my email and had one from someone who said   "awhile back, Gabe mentioned that the kids could benefit from fresh produce. Is is easier if we purchase the produce and give it to you or if we provide you with cash that can be used at your discretion?"

WOW!  It was a simple request, and God answered it!  Even if its just a little more fruit from one family, its a little more fruit!!!!  I can't wait to tell the girls (and to hand them an apple!) because I want them to know that God does care and listen!!!

I am thankful, that He is showing the girls that He is their heavenly Father and will care for them.  And its a reminder to me to keep asking my Father about some of other things that I worry about, and trusting that He will care for those things too.
