Today was Orphan Sunday. We were able to share about TCM at the Wave Church in San Diego. Gabe told the story of the orphanage and how we ended up there and then the kids and I each described one of the kids from here, so that people could get to know a few kids, so to speak. I was so proud of our kids… this was their first public speaking event and they did a good job. After we spoke, we had a table set up with pictures of kids that needed sponsors, and we found 19 new sponsors. What is kind of amazing is that there were probably only about 30 households represented there. Have you ever been in a situation where 2/3 of the people responded and gave money???? The best part for sponsors here in San Diego is that it is easy for them to come meet their kids! (Don’t let that discourage you sponsors far away… you can come too, just costs a little more! 🙂 God is good. So far, 25 new sponsors… going for 100!
