Our commitment and work at TCM has finished. The goal of raising $50,000 was met, as during our time there, the number of child sponsors doubled from 95 to 204!  It was a total team effort among ourselves and the staff at TCM, not to mention a few churches who sponsored an Orphan Sunday and generated –MUCHO!– sponsors.

All of these sponsors provide monthly funding, which over the long term will actually provide more than $50,000! In addition, there were some one-time gifts, which helped to start the gardens and provided for some other immediate needs.  God always provides for his kids and we are thankful to have been a part of that process.

We cried as we left the kids and staff there. (Ok, really, some of us cried for the last three weeks before we left!) We knew going in that this was a school-year commitment, but leaving is always hard. If only we could have everyone in the world we loved in the same place!! 🙂 But, alas that does not happen.  Hopefully we will be back to visit again in the future and thanks to Facebook, we will try to keep in touch. Just a few pictures of our goodbyes. These kids will be forever in our hearts, and we hope they will remember that we loved them too.
