Here’s the deal. I am seeking to pray for one person every day, in person, for whatever need they share with me. I won’t just tell them, “I’ll keep you in my prayers,” but instead I’ll pray for them right there on the spot, and ask for the whole enchilada (whatever that enchilada may be).
It also means I’m seeking put myself in situations everyday where, if God doesn’t show up, I’ll be in trouble. Like embarrassed, left standing empty handed, etc.
So each day at my office, at Walmart, at Speedway, the gym, or wherever, I’m going to keep my eyes open for three kinds of people: those who are hungry, those who are sick, and those who are brokenhearted.
If they are hungry, I will buy them food or take them groceries.
If they are sick, I will pray for their healing. The whole enchilada.
If they are lonely, I will be present as a friend.
The “experiment” is to see if God shows up. My hypothesis is this: Jesus wants to do the same things Today that he did Yesterday, only we need to live with more faith….but more on that later.
