I’ve been thinking about Christmas. You know what? Christmas is not my birthday.
It’s Jesus’ birthday.
On that note:
Jesus, for your birthday this year, I’d like to offer you five persons of peace (Luke 10) who I am investing in, training, and doing kingdom ministry with. Lord, these five do not know you yet. In fact, right now they may drunks, addicts, lovers of religion, wife-beaters, and cheaters. But it’s not the healthy who need a doctor; it’s the sick. And Lord, I’m your expendable slave. Use me up, pour me out, sacrifice me. Send me out to proclaim the reality and coming fullness of your kingdom, so that it may continue to expand. Jesus, help me. Give “many convincing proofs” to them that your are alive (Acts 1:3). Amen.
