This was one of the most fun things we have done yet!  Recently, we were talking to Seth(staff) about learning English, and asked if it was helpful when the kids go to get a job.  He said if a person is bilingual, you probably could earn about 4 times as much out of high school than someone who does not know English.  We asked if we could help teach the kids English and he said that it would be great!

So we started today... initially, we will offer on Thursdays, a morning class and an afternoon class. (Some kids are at school in the morning.) We had a good crowd at our first one... kids and some staff who are not yet fluent in English!  It was so much fun! The kids helped, especially when we broke into small groups to practice.  We had a review game with candy prizes, but I think I can get much more creative with the games... this will be really fun!
