Easter at TCM started with a sunrise service. (We tried unsuccessfully all week to convince Martha that we were pretty sure Jesus rose around 10am, but to no avail.) So we left Soler at 5am and made the 6am service out at Rosarito. There were three smaller churches who came together for the service, so each pastor had a turn to speak. (At one point, Gabe asked me if it was a “preach-off”?) Just kidding… can you tell I am not a morning person? 🙂 It was good to be together with all the kids from both sites in one place.
Do you see the sun in this picture yet?
After the service, there was a yummy breakfast with a choice of two Mexican breakfast soups: birria which has beef in it, and another one that I can’t remember the name of, but involves cow stomach. It’s a delicacy, but I prefer the other one!
The best part of the celebration was next… we went to the beach and watched a few of the kids get baptized! Now that is how baptisms should be done! 🙂
It was beautiful, and especially so, as we know the girls. It was a beautiful Easter… a great celebration of the Resurrection!
